De zorg voor onze omgeving is een zorg die ons allen aangaat. Op advies van de Programmeringscommmissie voor tentoonstellingen in Nederland heeft het Ministerie van Cultuur, Recreatie en Maatschappelijk Werken een tentoonstelling laten maken om aandacht te vragen voor de factoren en processen in onze samenleving die sterk bepalend zijn voor de vormgeving van onze omgeving. De bedoeling hiervan is een discussie op gang te brengen die eraan kan bijdragen dat de kwaliteit van onze omgeving mede door een goede vormgeving wordt verbeterd. Dit boek levert een bijdrage aan deze discussie en kan als begeleiding bij die tentoonstelling worden gebruikt. Moge de gedachten van de auteurs aanzetten tot overweging en prikkelen tot stellingname.
